Welcome to Fernwood!

Originally known as "Fernwood Farms," Fernwood is one of Spartanburg's earliest modern suburbs. With homes built in the 1950s and 1960s along with some newer construction, the neighborhood is situated near Eastside shopping locations and is only a short bike ride from downtown.

Fernwood offers a mix of brick ranch and two-story houses as well as more contemporary styles at a wide range of prices. Most come with spacious lawns and mature trees.

For outdoor recreation enthusiasts, Fernwood is in a perfect spot. The neighborhood borders the Cottonwood Trail, a 115-acre urban preserve and trail system. The current home of Spartanburg High School also borders Fernwood. Its recently renovated fields, track, and tennis courts are available for public use.

Comfortable homes, strong schools, and recreational amenities make Fernwood an ideal neighborhood for young couples and families.
